Some Fancies of a Smart Home

What do you fancy about future home centered technology? Maybe you don't know what technologies are on the market or will exist in the near future. This blog introduces some concepts for future in home technologies.

As computers become more compact and cheaper, we will observe their distribution more widely among the World of Things.

Smart Fridge --A smart fridge will have sensory devices (cameras) that detect (intelligently) all items, probably by reading codes on the edible and drinkable contents. It will have panels on it that add extra functionality, and may additionally be linked to a smartphone or smart home framework It might be possible to register your fridge with a market and have the fridge order commodities for you by itself (automatically) or by will. The Samsung smart fridge (2019) includes a very smart device, that can communicate with your phone, save images to the smart fridge, recognize faces, and relay voice messages. The fridge itself may one day have transparent glass, where the whole thing can be altered, not just the main touch panel.

Smart Bowl -- With ever advancing sensory intelligence one of our main utensils for eating will inevitably become smart. It will have 1) Calorie measure 2) Ingredient sensors 3) Weight and volume sensors. These can be employed and connected to a smart device. An app may be run to tell you how much of the food you should be eating to match your dietary needs.

Smart Toothbrush -- Once again intelligent sensory machines, that can sense down to the size of molecules will make their appearance in a toothbrush. If not a toothbrush than a scan of the mouth may be made into a functioning data gathering device. It will have the capacity to 1) Measure bacteria 2) Tell you how fresh your breath is. Other possibilities may exist.

Smart Toilet -- There are already devised toilets that can make a biological analysis of stool and urine. They are capable of predicting the likely hood of future illness, and will be a great ASSet in the future. Users will be able to link this information to a smart app, and will be directed into one’s smart home.

Smart shower -- On a personal note my brother wanted to invent a shower head that connects to soap deposits in the shower. I think this will be a future technology. Including this facial recognition to sense who one is, as to make it possible to set up a specific shower setting for the specific person. One invention, I liked recently, was the shower curtain that can hold devices and keep them away from being compromised by water. Changing light colors, shower curtain displays (as computers become thinner and cheaper), will be a highlight in future homes.

Smart Garage -- Working with robotic cars it might be in our future that our homes allow owned or borrowed vehicles to park inside a garage. If so, they may be connected to a robot that can put away or somehow help manage the work load involved with consumption. If you own a car or an air-car in the future it might park itself in the garage. The garage may include ways to wash your car, without having to take it to your local Jiffy-Lube washer.

All of these can be part of a smart home. They can be linked to a smart devices, so you can always check with your doctor or nutritionist about your dietary needs and your overall health. Of course, as written about in other articles, technology may advance so far as to make a doctor unneeded, replaced by a AI doctor that works specifically within one's smart home.
